Descriptions of Services

Outside Mount: When a customer brings in skis and boots that have not been purchases through us. We call this an outside mount.
Purchase Mount: When a customer purchases ski equipment from us we give them 50% off the outside mount price.
Remount: If a customer has a pair of skis they may have bought used or got as a gift and the bindings need to be moved to accommodate the customers boot size. Also if a customer is remounting an old binding onto another ski. This requires our Technician to remove the bindings off the ski and either redrill or drill the skis in order for the binding to mounted properly according to the customers boot size, weight, height and skier Type.
Binding Adjustment: This requires the customers boots. We will clean and adjust the binding according to the specifics of the customer. The binding is put through a tork test to make sure that the binding is working properly and safely. This should be done at least once a year.
Ski Tune-up: The base of a ski is very important and for optimal performance you should have your skis tuned a minimum of once a season. We bottom plane the ski. This ensures that the base is flat. We then sharpen the edges. Taking any rust or corrosion that has developed over a summer. Try to store your skis in a dry place during the off season. The less edge we have to take off the better for your equipment. We then P-Tex the bottom. This simply means that all the not so deep gouges will be filled for a smoother surface. We then Hot Wax your skis. Unlike a rub on wax which skis off after a couple of runs, a hot wax seeps into the pores of the base. Its good to carry a rub on wax in your pocket for those sticky snow days. Then finally we scrap the wax down and smooth the base with a smoothing cloth. We then detune the tips and tail of the ski with a hand file. After this process your skis base will be like new!
Snowboard Tune-up: See Ski Tune-up
Stonegrind Tune-up: The process is the same as a Ski Tune-up only difference is we use the Stone on a stonegrind instead of a belt sander. This is usually done on skis who's owners race. It gives the ski a more structural base for a more precise handling.
Precision Tune-up: This Tune-up consists of a stonegrind and beveled edges. Some racers want their edges beveled at different degrees. Other than the bottom stonegrind this tune is done completely by hand. It is precise and our technicians do a fine job according to the skiers instructions.
Hot Wax and Sharpen: Sometimes all your skis need is just that. A Hot Wax for the base and the edges sharpened. Depending on the kind of conditions you are skiing depends on how fast your edges wear down and the wax is skied off. Along with a Complete Tune Up each season you should consider having a hot wax and sharpen during the season to maintain their performance. See Ski Tune-up for Wax and Sharpen details.
Hot Wax: See Hot Wax and Sharpen
Sharpen: See Hot Wax and Sharpen
Boot Repair: We have a minimum price of $10.00 for labor, parts are extra. This includes repairing or replacing buckles, cants, heels ect... Most boot work can be done here. We carry most replacement parts for the boots we sell and parts for older models. If we don't have the part we usually can get it from the manufacturer. Some cases require sending out the boot. See Warranty Returns
Ski Tune-up and Binding Adjustment: Since most customers will do this each season we have combined these two and lowered the price so that our customers can save alittle money. See Ski Tune-up and Binding Adjustment for details.
Warranty Repairs: If we have to send your equipment back to the Manufacturer for repairs or replacement under your warranty terms there is a charge for freight.
